Fall Trends Worth The Investment

Fall is like a rebirth for your closet. You can start fresh and experiment with new trends or start incorporating styles you’ve been mulling over but haven’t had the courage to commit to just yet. It's no coincidence that the September issue of every fashion magazine is always their biggest, filled with endless trends and plenty of ideas for new options. That being said, I know that doesn’t mean it’s always easy to spot the wisest investment in this limitless sea of "must-haves". To make things just a little easier, I’ve rounded up a few of my favorites your consideration.

One of the biggest trends this fall is a sleeveless coat (also referred to as a duster jacket by those on the fashion circuit… and my grandma). It’s a favorite of mine because it lends itself to so many outfit options. You can dress it up with heels and a tank or dress it down with sneakers and a tee. It is the perfect coat for in-between weather-- when you aren't cold enough for a jacket but you could still use an extra layer. Shop my picks for duster jackets and vests to keep you warm here.

Another trend that will go the distance in your wardrobe and give your basics a lot of versatility is a statement belt. Say goodbye to your skinny belts and add one of these to your closet for maximum impact. You can make this 90s trend fresh again by pairing it with dark skinny jeans and tucking in a silk top, creating the perfect weekend uniform. You can also use these to make your shapeless shirt dresses more flattering while adding a little extra personality. Shop my picks here.

Denim A-line button skirts have taken over fall fashion. This is a staple worth investing in as it will easily transition into your wardrobe rotation when warmer months come back around. With various colors, patterns, and textures there's no shortage of outfit ideas this single item can inspire. Go casual with a t-shirt and slip-ons or make it work-appropriate with a sweater, tights, and flats. Shop the best of the season for all sizes here.

Hop on over there to Facebook or Instagram and let me know what you're dying to add to your closet for fall. I'd love to know!
